The speech therapy department provides diagnosis and treatment for a wide variety of communication disorders such as articulation, comprehension, and expression of language, as well as chewing and swallowing difficulties. The speech therapist will also evaluate your meal textures and consistencies and make recommendations for foods which are easier to swallow for those with impairment.

Working with the full range of human communication and its disorders, speech-language pathologists:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders.
• Treat speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages, from infants to the elderly.
