Amy is a graduate from the Pennsylvania College of Technology where she received her degree as a licensed COTA. She has been employed by Genesis Rehabilitation Services for nearly 10 years. During this time, she has held many exciting, challenging, and rewarding positions. She started her career at Rose View Center, Williamsport PA. as an Activities Assistant. From there, she transitioned into the Restorative nursing program. In 2003, Amy transferred from Roseview to the Highland’s Care Center, in Laporte, PA, where she was employed as a COTA. During her time at the Highlands, Amy became interim Program Manager, until she was transferred to Kramms. She has been a COTA/L with the Kramm’s facility in Watsontown since 2006.
To keep abreast on the latest treatment methodologies, Amy partakes in continuing education classes. To name a few, she has taken classes on: dementia management; cognitive and perceptual disorders; seating and positioning; cognitive framework for dementia; and physical agent modality applications. In the future, she plans to continue taking classes to better serve geriatric rehabilitation.
On her days off, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad and their two cats, Freddy and Smokey. Her favorite pastimes are: home improvement projects (she’s not afraid to tackle the hard jobs of sanding hardwood floors, kitchen remodeling, insulating and landscaping); biking; kayaking; and those lazy days at the beach.
Amy truly enjoys being part of the Kramm’s family and assisting the residents in achieving their personal goals.
