Physical Therapy

Experience our rehab services

Physical TherapyOur team of licensed physical therapists can assist you with regaining your strength and mobility following a wide range of surgeries and/or illnesses. They will develop an individual plan for you that takes into account your tolerance of activity while at the same time striving to meet your goals. Our team is experienced with rehabilitating everything from hip repair procedures to knee replacements to recovery from acute illness.

They can provide orthopedic therapy for muscle strengthening, neurological therapy to improve balance, sensation, and comprehension, and education for family/care providers. Our therapists will even come to your home prior to your discharge to complete a comprehensive home evaluation. They will make recommendations on how to make your home a safe place for your return and continuing recovery.

We offer expertise in several modalities to aid in improving your overall functional mobility such as:

  • Electrical Stimulation - To improve strength, decrease pain, and prevent weakening of muscles
  • Ultrasound - To help reduce swelling, inflammation, pain and improve flexibility
  • Iontophoresis - An alternative "electrical" method to delivering anti-inflammatory medicine versus a sharp needle injection
  • Diathermy - This a a method of "electrically" inducing heat to aid in providing muscle relaxation, improve circulation and improving flexibility. This method is a great alternative to those who are very sensitive to traditional heating methods.
  • Moist Heat - To aid in providing muscle relaxation, improve circulation and decrease pain and stiffness
  • Cold Packs - To aid in decreasing acute pain, inflammation and swelling
  • McConnell Taping and Kinesio-Taping Methods - To improve musculo-skelatal positioning, provide feedback to affected muscels and muscle groups, provide support, improve strutcural alignment, decrease edema/swelling and pain.
