UPCOMING EVENTS FOR JUNE 2010

 

June 3-           At 10:30 in the morning, we will treat our residents to a SPA Day where they will enjoy a facial, hand massage and a chance to have their hair and make-up done… just to feel pretty.  Everyone should have a SPA DAY.

June 5 -          The Elimsport Baptist Church will be here to do nails for our ladies.  We look forward to welcoming our friends from the church.  How nice it is to have them here pampering our residents.

June 7 -          Terry Smith will once again be here in the evening to melt the hearts of our lady residents and to encourage sing-a-longs with all our residents.  Terry is a welcomed favorite and the residents look forward to hearing him sing.  Terry once sang with the McNett family and one of our very own residents used to be his waitress at THE BASKET.

June 11 -        At 10:30 in the morning our senses will definitely be awake to the sounds and songs of Tanya and Marge.  These ladies get our residents involved with singing and playing instruments.  We enjoy them each and every time they are here with us.

June 19 -        Jimmy Fletcher returns at 2:30 in the afternoon to sing and tell stories as only Jimmy can.  Our residents look forward to clapping their hands and tapping their toes when Jimmy sings.

June 21 -        Kathleen Radspinner will be here to play piano and sing.  She incites memories and has a way of making us reminisce without our ever knowing it.  She is a ray of sunshine and our residents absolutely adore her.

June 24-         Steve Sutherlan will be here in the afternoon with his guitar, ukulele and songs to entertain us as only he can at our monthly birthday and anniversary celebration.  The residents and their families have come to adore having Steve at the monthly celebration.

June 25 -        Today is FARMER’S DAY.  We encourage all residents and staff to dress in their best FARMER outfit.  We can’t wait to see how many MA’s and PA KETTLES we have in the building or how many CLAMPETTS.  What a riot this day is going to be… can’t wait.

June 26 -        Our Activity Director will be in the back of the facility hosting a car wash to benefit the Residents’ Activity Fund.  Jean and her granddaughters will wash cars (and trucks too) from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.  Bring us your cars and we will do the work for you.  No set fee, only donations accepted.

June 28 -        We will once again begin our OUT AND ABOUTS.  Our  first out and about will be on this day from 11:30 ‘til 1:30 and will occur at THE FENCE.  We will begin  our monthly out and abouts on this day.  This fast became a resident favorite last year and we look forward to it again this year as well.
